Animal Dreaming by Scott Alexander King
Australian farmland - the growing lands Australian wilderness and bushlands Australian outback and desert The massive Australian coastline Australian cities and surrounds
The Dreamtime is the time before time - when all things were being created and when everything was 'learning' to exist. Depicting all things as equal, the teachings of the Dreamtime suggest that we are capable of communing with the forces of nature and to speak readily to the animals, birds, reptiles, fish and insects.

HABITATS - Australian farmland - the growing lands

A land of promise; of milk and honey, Australia's farm land is abundant and fruitful in times of plenty; a land that offers freedom from the mainstream, a chance to cultivate a life from the land and an existence birthed directly from the Earth Mother herself. In times of drought, however, Australia's farm land shuts down on itself as if daring death itself to visit.

Water holes and rivers, previously crawling with life, simply dry up, the fields turn to dust and the animals that would normally support the people become financial burdens, to be shot in their thousands or die of hunger and thirst. With energy capable of nurturing and providing the people with sustenance, while supporting them as they go about creating a life for themselves, Australia's farm land is famous for its composed, unhurried, orderly approach to life, embodied by lazy buzzing of Bush Flies, the rhythmic squeak of an archaic windmill, the low murmur of distant tractors or the sudden crack of a stock whip.
