Hi Everyone
Guess what? Animal Dreaming has relocated! That's right, Scott and Trudy have packed up home and office and moved north to beautiful Mullumbimby (approximately 20 minutes from Byron Bay). 'It's beautiful - sunny, warm and enticing', they say. 'It reminds us of the Yarra Valley here - our home for the past 8 years, but instead of the ever familiar oak trees, mountain ash and tree ferns, we have jacarandas, frangipanis and palm trees! It's been a real sea-change for us all'.
Since moving up a few weeks ago, Scott has presented at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Brisbane (welcome to all of you who added your names to the mailing list), returned to Melbourne for the Winter Spiritual Retreat in Warburton and offered a boutique seminar at the Byron Bay Services Club in Byron Bay. A special 'thank you' must be offered to Catherine from THE ART OF HEALING MAGAZINE for organising this wonderful event.
Despite the move up north, the ANIMAL DREAMING post office box address for all postal correspondences will remain the same until further notice. It will remain as follows:

Weave your own DREAM CATCHER

According to Native American folklore, it was Grandmother Spiderwoman
who sang the Universe into being by weaving the Web of Life. Grandmother
Spider wove the first Dreamcatcher, a beautiful and protective web
woven within a ring of willow wood. In the centre she placed a single
turquoise stone, a symbol of connection to the Creative Force, clarity,
peace, communication and protection.
It is said that, with the aid of the Dreamcatcher, all our dreams
can be harnessed and fruitfully brought to fruition. It reminds us
of the sacred role we all play as vital strands in the Web of Life.

The 'KIDS! Indigo Children and Cheeky Monkeys' Workshop

The 'KIDS! Indigo Children and Cheeky Monkeys' Workshop is designed
with parents, teachers and carers of children in mind. Children 15
years and over are also welcome to attend.
Introduction:
There are five kinds of people, each governed by their own Monkey
and individual set of corresponding energies / totems / elemental
influences.
- We all have a Monkey Archetype.
- Which ones describe your child[ren]?
- Which one describes you?
Are you an Indigo Warrior, a Nature Child, a Peacekeeper, a Winter

Not sure if you are an INDIGO Warrior? Not sure if your child is one?
Well, come along anyway, because during this seminar information regarding
the 'other children' (four other kinds, in total) will be revealed
- information guaranteed to offer clarity, peace and understanding
to all who attend.
The INDIGO Warrior Child often demonstrates the following abilities:
- They are often powerfully intuitive and psychically
aware
- They are sensitive and at one with animals and nature
as a whole
- They are quite often telepathic and assume that others
can hear their thoughts (so do not assume your child is being rude
just because he or she doesn't respond to questions or directions
in an audible way)
- They are usually acutely artistic, observant, academically
advanced and socially adept … but most have difficulty demonstrating
these skills in a manner acceptable to' the system'
- They are not 'ADD' (Attention Deficit Disorder) or
'ADHD' (Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder) and should NOT be treated
or medicated as such
I mean, would you give your child a line of cocaine each morning before school? The medication prescribed to 'sufferers' of ADD and ADHD is classed by the U.S. FDTA alongside Heroin and Cocaine. Yet, there are classrooms in America where every child is medicated every morning with this drug.
- They should be nurtured, inspired and encouraged but
not treated as different as or better than any one else. Being a Warrior
does not afford any excuse to act up or intentionally buck the system
- They need, want and respect boundaries that are consistent
and fair
- They look to their parents as role models and they
expect them to act as such
- They are incredibly intolerant of those who display
hypocrisy, ignorance and arrogance
- They do not respond to fear based control or disciplinary
techniques
- They carry the Capuchin Monkey as their Power Aspect,
Animal Spirit Ally and Totem
Based entirely on

during this workshop you will:
- Be reintroduced to your child for the warrior that
they are, instead of seeing them labeled as a nuisance and trouble
maker

Its been three years since
Gill and Kye left Alice Springs and traveled south, following the
old Ghan line and the Oodnadatta track. Since then they've continued
onto the Strezlecki Track where they stayed in an outstation for almost
a year, resting up and renewing their funds for their continuing adventure
to find a home for themselves and all the rescued and previously abused
animals that travel with them.

The Tiger
'I am Courageous'
The Tiger's stripes offer perfect camouflage as it prowls the tall grass and brushwood of India. Its colouration disrupts the outline of its body as it lies in wait for passing prey such as Deer, Wild Pigs and Buffalo. Tigers are occasionally known to take domestic stock in areas where natural prey is limited.
While man-eating Tigers are rare,
the rubber-harvesters that work the thick forests often wear realistic
human-like masks on the back of their heads as protection. The belief
is that Tigers only take their prey from behind, and while this may
not necessarily be a proven fact - the people figure it's better to
be safe than sorry. They figure that the Tiger, confused by the two
sets of eyes, will think it is unable to strike from the rear and
leave them alone. You could say that to attack your prey from behind
is a good idea; stalking your prey silently without being seen, making
the crucial ambush triumphant. Well, guess what? It's estimated that
Tigers go hungry about 80% of the time using this technique. However,
if the truth be told, it's probably not so much the technique that
lets the Tiger down, but rather a lack of confidence. Despite its
physical power, stunning appearance and wild nature, the Tiger is
nervous and hesitant. It's afraid to look its prey dead in the eye;
instead its looks for an easier, less confronting way to take it down.
But even when it has its prey set in its sight, the Tiger often loses
confidence at the last minute and bungles its assault.
To have the Tiger skulk its way into your life today is to be told
to face your issues front on instead of looking for an easy way out.
Look at what you fear the most - dead in the eye - and defiantly vow
to take it on. Don't beat around the bush, or ignore your problems
in the vain hope that they will go away. The Tiger is reminding you
of your inherent beauty, Personal Power and inner strength. Celebrate
your potential as your personal truth and see yourself worthy of greatness.
If you have issues or suspicions regarding a friend, family member
or associate, for example, speak to them openly about it instead of
holding it in or talking about them behind their back. If you suspect
that others have concerns about you, confront them and encourage them
to talk openly with you about it. Or, if there are things you have
done or issues that make you feel shameful, and you are worried they
will be revealed by someone other than you, speak up now and get everything
off your chest. Be the one that controls your destiny, look your shadow-self
dead in the eye, and take command of your potential. Reject the negative
aspects of Tiger - those parts of yourself that imply you're a coward.
Instead, be the proud, powerful Tiger that integrates its favourite
prey - the impeccable Peacock - into its way of life. In doing so,
you will always walk your talk and face your fears and limitations
head on with courage and fortitude.
