Other useful information:
The Retreat will be run at 'Glenbarr
Homestead'

Situated on the outskirts of the historic township of Strathalbyn, “Glenbarr”
(settled by Scottish pioneer William Rankine Esq. and his family in 1842)
is a beautiful homestead nestled deep within the eastern foothills of
the Adelaide Hills. Flanked by the winding ‘Middle Creek’,
Glenbarr is 14 hectares (35 acres) of gently undulating grazing and farming
land lightly scattered with impressive red gums. A pleasant 45-minute
drive from Adelaide through the beautiful Adelaide Hills, Glenbarr is
but a short walk to the Strathalbyn Town Centre and historic High Street
with its antique, craft and coffee shops.

Surrounded by rolling hills, picturesque valleys, tall gums and farming
country, the charming historic town of Strathalbyn is by far one of South
Australia's most beautiful country towns. The “unofficial antique
capital” of South Australia, Strathalbyn is home to one of Australia's
most beautiful and photographed churches (St Andrews). Strathalbyn is
beautiful, with the River Angus flowing down from the ranges through the
town’s centre. A short 10 minute drive will deliver you into the
award winning Langhorne Creek wine district ... and a slightly longer
(20 minute) drive will take you to the Historic port town of Milang, situated
on the banks of Lake Alexandrina.
The Barn ... our Retreat Space:
Our retreat will be run in what was Glenbarr's original Barn; a beautiful
and historic space that has been completely transformed into a venue capable
of seating up to 60 guests! With large, full glass windows and doors that
look out over the rural estate, the Barn has part polished jarrah and
carpeted floors, comfortable upholstered chairs, air conditioning and
tea and coffee making facilities. How comfy does that sound?
Accommodation:

Retreat participants will sleep in newly built shared dormitories, each
containing four single beds and one double bunk. The humble sleeping quarters
open out on to wide balconies that face north, with south-facing windows
that overlook the creek and lush bushland setting. Designed in a classic
style to compliment the historic buildings, the rooms are insulated and
fitted with ceiling fans.
Meals:

All meals are supplied and will be prepared by the ‘in-house’
Glenbarr cooks and served in the original stone building that was once
the stables. Converted and renamed, the atmospheric 'Stable Inn' dining
room is where all our meals will be enjoyed as a group.

following dietary requirements apply to you:
