Subject Code:                    ELE03ELAN
Subject Title:                      Elemental Animals
Description:                        Learn about the animals that elementally govern and protect each of the four cardinal directions of the Wheel of Life.  Learn how to determine what element influences each of the animals that inspire you, and how this association enhances the already powerful message the animal is trying to impart. Not only do the elements offer deeper meaning for the physical animals that share our planet, but there’s also a number of ‘elemental creatures’ that actually embody the energies of the four directions. While these animals are more considered to be ‘mythical’ in nature, their energy is still just as accessible to us as that of their physical kin.

Basic understandings include:

•    The teachings and corresponding energies of the four directions
•    The elemental energy that governs the animal kingdom and how this affects us
•    The animal guardians of the four directions and how these particular animals embody the energies and qualities of each of the quarters
•    How the elemental animals archetypically inspire and guide us each and every day of our lives
•    How to harness and direct the energy of the elemental animals

Cost:                $150

Subject Code:                    ELE04ANGO
Subject Title:                     Animals of the Goddess
Description:                       Learn about the animals and their ancient relationship with the goddess. From Artemis to Gaia, Bastet to Rhiannon, this module will introduce participants to the notion that deity could shape shift at will into the form of certain animals and that certain animals embodied the wisdom and power of the goddess through association. It was thought that by honouring the animals, the goddess would be pleased and behave benevolently. Animals that were considered to the incarnated forms of certain deity were treated well, kept in or near sacred temples. Participants will be required to demonstrate their knowledge with a short assessment.

Basic understandings include:

•    The goddess represents the feminine principles of Spirit
•    The goddess symbolises creation, birth, growth, fertility, life, compassion, love, etc
•    The goddess is the Maiden, Mother, Crone; the Moon, the Earth and Nature
•    Each goddess has certain responsibilities and is embodied within a plethora of symbols and things, elements of nature and animals
•    All cultures recognise the goddess in one form or another, with many goddesses appearing in more than one culture, under different names.

Cost:                $150

Subject Code:                    ELE05ANWI
Subject Title:                     Animals and Witchcraft
Description:                       It’s impossible to think of Witchcraft without considering familiars and animals spirits at some point. This module will explore the concept of the ‘familiar spirit’, and how these animals can support your role as an Animal Dreaming Practitioner. For example, have you ever shared a relationship with an animal that seemed telepathic? An animal that felt like they were a part of you, but a part of you that sat exterior to your being? Familiars help us in our day-to-day working life as well as supporting us as a companion in our personal life. Not only that, though, it is the role of the Familiar to (re)connect us to the natural world. On completion of this niche study of Witchcraft, participants will have identified their Familiar, named their Familiar and have called upon their Familiar for a number of reasons.

Basic understandings include:

•    Animals synonymous with Witchcraft
•    Why certain animals are so closely associated with Witches
•    Why some animals are so unquestionably linked with the magickal arts
•    What a Witch actually is and how the ‘Black Cat’ became so closely linked to her
•    The role of the Familiar Spirit and how they can be called upon to support pretty much every aspect of your physical life
•    The role of the Daemon
•    What makes knowing your Familiar Spirit so important to being an Animal Dreaming Practitioner

Cost:                $150

Subject Code:                    ELE06MAML
Subject Title:                     Magickal Animals of Myth and Legend
Description:                       Our collective history is riddled with mythical animals and mystical creatures that appear in dreams and folklore. Animism offers a sense of belief in animal spirits, be they mystical, paranormal, unseen or illusory. Animism, as a spiritual path, celebrates beings for their own sake, whether they have a soul or not, whether they are real or not. Are Dragons, Centaurs, Unicorns and Mermaids real to you? Could they still exist or are they disguised as other animals. Did they ever exist at all? Or were they simply inspired by actual, physical animals that baffled, frightened and confused the early Naturalists who struggled to make sense of the wild world, much of which was so alien to theirs.

Basic understandings include:

•    How creatures like Werewolves, Dragons, Vampires and Unicorns have endured for so long and how, even today, they continue to fascinate and frighten us
•    How creatures like the Bogey Man, Bugbear and other ‘monsters’ have been used for centuries, the world over, to control the behaviour of ‘naughty children’
•    Why we perpetuate the myths and legends and almost encourage our children to believe in certain creatures when we, as adults, may not
•    What animals may have inspired the inception of these mythical and magickal beasts and how these creatures may still exist today
•    How to invoke magickal creatures and where to find them

Cost:                $150

Subject Code:                    ELE07FAAN
Subject Title:                     Faerie Animals
Description:                       Why is it that some animals are known to interact with the Fae? Why are these animals so connected, and how? Learn about the realm of the Fae (Faerie / Faery / Fairy) and why it is that certain animals are able to see, feel and physically interact with them, while we, as humans, cannot. Discuss why the Fae remain an object of constant fascination for us, and how we, as humans, can connect with the Fae via the animals. Participants will grow to understand that animals in spirit can be considered Fae, what the term ‘glamour’ refers to, why people once consulted the Fae and how they were demonised by certain aspects of society and why.

Basic understandings include:

•    Faeries … what are they and where do they come from?
•    How to connect with the Fae and welcome them into your life
•    How to honour them, respect them and keep them as allies
•    How certain animals are able to see and interact with the Fae
•    The history of the Fae and how we, as humans, can still interact with them on a daily basis
•    How being close to the animals and watching their ways will ensure a long and healthy relationship between us and the Faeries

Cost:                $150

Subject Code:                    ELE08ARKA
Subject Title:                     Animals and Angels (Ark Angels)
Description:                       Here’s a question for you. Do you know what a Gryphon is? Many of us, when asked this question, would describe a Gryphon as being a mythical or magickal creature sporting the hind quarters of a Lion and the head, taloned forelimbs and wings of an Eagle. A blended creature: a mammal with wings, perhaps. Well, if that’s the case, other winged mammals could also be labelled Gryphons, yes? Creatures like Pegasus the winged Horse, for example … and perhaps, just perhaps … Angels. People are mammals, aren’t they? We ‘suckle our young’, we’re warm-blooded and we’re covered in hair – all the ‘ingredients’ that when combined make up a mammal, right? Well, surely a winged ‘man’ could be described as a Gryphon, too, couldn’t it? An interesting thought, huh?

Basic understandings include:

•    The traditional description of what makes an Angel
•    The animals Animal Dreaming closely associates with the Archangels
•    The role and purpose of the Angelic Realm
•    The Angelic Hierarchy
•    How the Angels manifest in the physical world and how they can be invoked and why
•    How to determine that what you’re working with IS IN FACT an Angel
•    The battle between good and bad and light and dark

Cost:                $150
