Description
What are PRAYER FLAGS? A tradition sacred to the Tibetan People, Prayer Flags are colorful pieces of fabric, typically square or rectangular in shape, that are often seen strung between tree branches that grow along the trails that wind their way through the lofty peaks of the Himalayas. Imbued with prayers and mantras, Prayer Flags are thought to bless the countryside by promoting peace, compassion, strength and wisdom. While the Tibetan People have never seen Prayer Flags as vehicles that would carry their personal prayers directly to the gods, many of us have come to rely on them for this purpose today. Instead, it is traditionally believed that the prayers and mantras printed on the Flags would be carried on the wind to spread their good will, blessings and compassion for all to enjoy.
